Charge Pressed against Resident of Lori for Theft, Illegal Procurement and Keeping of Ammunition, Illegal Manufacture of Weapon and Illegal Turnover of Narcotic Drug
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on theft, illegal procurement and keeping of ammunition, illegal manufacture of weapon and illegal turnover of narcotic drugs without purpose of sale was completed in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 40 year-old resident of Lori.
Through comprehensive investigation of the criminal case a number of circumstances of the cases were found out.
Thus, on March 30, 2019 at about 21:30 the resident of Lori, born in 1979, with the purpose of stealing somebody else's property, illegally entered the area of a workshop and stole electric copper cable which belonged to the company.
In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions as well as operative-intelligence measures it was found out that other crimes had also been committed by the same person.
Particularly, actual data were obtained that in November, 2015 with the purpose of stealing somebody else's property the mentioned person illegally entered the area of the same workshop again and stole two crane batteries and ventilator engine launcher which belonged to the company.
One more theft was committed at the end of March, 2019; 40 year-old man taking advantage of the fact that the door of the barn was not locked, illegally entered the unused barn which belonged to a CJSC and stole 11 small and 1 big electrical switchers which belonged to the company.
Through investigation data were also obtained on illegal procurement of 16 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber and one 5.6 mm caliber and keeping them in the apartment actually used by him.
Besides, it was found out that in summer, 2015 the same person illegally manufactured a self-made firearm and kept it in his apartment.
During preliminary investigation it was also found out that 40 year-old resident of Lori illegally made narcotic drugs in significant amount – 10.42 grams of «Marijuana» type for his own use and kept it in his apartments.
The bullets, firearm and narcotic drug were found and confiscated through search conducted, as prescribed by law, in his apartments.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 40 year-old man according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 177 (3 counts), the Part 1 of the Article 235, the Part 1 of the Article 236 and the Part 1 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
