On February 2, 2021 at 15:30 a call was received in Nor Nork Police Division from Hospital N 1 after Heratsi informing that 36 year-old resident of Yerevan with “cut-pierced wound on the chest, neck” was taken to them from an apartment of one of the houses in Jrvezh district.

On the same day at 15:45 a call was received from “Erebuni” medical center informing that 39 year-old resident of Yerevan with “cut wound on the region of the heart” was taken to them from the above-mentioned apartment.

A criminal case was initiated in Nor Nork Division of the RA Police according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of investigative and procedural actions as well as operative-intelligence measures it was found out that on February 2, 2021 at about 14:30 in the above-mentioned apartment 39 year-old man stabbed 36 year-old wife then injured himself with the same knife.

39 year-old man was arrested and gave self-incriminating testimony.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 39 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
