In the result of investigative and procedural actions conducted within the criminal proceeding investigated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of murder attempt committed by 41 year-old man against his uncle were found out.

On June 12, 2023 58 year-old resident of Yerevan submitted a report informing that on the same day at about 18:00 in the yard of his house located in Acharyan Street, Yerevan his 41 year-old nephew hit him on the head, chest and left armpit with a screwdriver.

During preliminary investigation initiated with regard to the case according to the Part 1 of the Article 44-155 of RA Criminal Code inspection of the scene was conducted during which blood-like traces, the clothes, the victim was wearing at the moment of the incident, were taken, a number of people were questioned, relevant expertise were commissioned.

Pursuant to data obtained within the framework of the proceeding, on the mentioned day at about 18:30 41 year-old man in the yard of his uncle’s house argued with the latter during which hit him on the head, chest and left armpit with a screwdriver which was with him, trying to revenge on his uncle for his father’s murder in 2007 for which he had been convicted.

41 year-old man was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion of crime committal.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
