On March 15, 2024 at about 00:18 calls were received from citizens in the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs informing that shots had been heard in Fuchik Street, Yerevan, an explosive device had been thrown, there was an injured person. Another call was received from an unknown citizen informing that there was someone with firearm injury on Ashtarak highway.

Later a call was received from «Armenia» medical center informing that the ambulance group had taken a resident of Ararat region, born in 1995, with shrapnel injuries, with a diagnosis of «polytrauma» to medical center from Ashtarak highway. Also information was received from «University medical center N 1 after Heratsi» informing that a resident of Yerevan, born in 1986, with a firearm injury, with a diagnosis of firearm injury on the left leg, had been taken to medical center by the ambulance group.

Based on the mentioned calls, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 7 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 of RA Criminal Code (2 counts), the Part 3 of the Article 297 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code. An investigative group was formed and investigation is conducted.

Through inspection of the scene – the carriageway located in the middle of buildings 11 and 13 of the 1^st lane of Fuchik Street, Yerevan numerous blood-like traces, metal parts of a detonated grenade, numerous capsules of several shot bullets were found from various places. A mask and other items were also found. The memory stick of the video recording devices available at the scene was taken. A number of expertises were commissioned.

In the result of investigative actions and operative-intelligence measures data regarding the case and those involved in it were received which are being verified through investigation.

Taking the specifics of the case into consideration, the criminal proceeding was transferred to the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of the RA IC Yerevan Investigative Department for conduction of further investigation.

Urgent investigative, procedural actions are conducted, operative-intelligence measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to identify all those involved in the case, to bring them to the investigative body, to personalize their actions and to give legal assessments to them.
