Circumstances of Murder Attempt Committed in Tumanyan Street of Yerevan being Found out
On the evening of January 17 a report was received in the Central Police Division of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs from “N 1 University Hospital” informing that a resident of Yerevan, born in 1995, with a firearm injury on the abdomen, was taken to hospital. He told that he had received the injury in the vicinity of the building.
A criminal proceeding was initiated in the Second Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code. Urgent investigative and evidentiary necessary actions were immediately conducted to find out the circumstances of the case.
Particularly, inspection of the area of the yard of the building located at the mentioned street, which was the crime scene, was conducted in the result of which a car of “Toyota” make with firearm damage, balls and capsules fired from a firearm were found.
The videos captured by the cameras located at the scene were confiscated, a number of persons were questioned, forensic ballistic and forensic medical examinations were commissioned.
In the result of operative-intelligence measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceeding data were obtained on the allegation that the shots had been fired and firearm injuries had been caused to the victim allegedly by 29 year-old resident of Yerevan with the motive of revenge for being beaten days before the incident. On January 17 at about 19:19 he came to the place of the residence of 27 year-old man with two other people, waited and seeing him in the yard, fired a shot towards him then they fled.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to find the person having committed the alleged crime as well as those possibly related to the case and to bring them to the investigative body.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
