A criminal case initiated on murder of 4 month-old baby
A criminal case was initiated in Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of 4 month-old baby.
According to preliminary investigation data some years ago - in 2008 the 38 year-old resident of Ashtarak town struck with a stone at the head of her de facto husband’s second wife’s 4 month-old baby and killed it.
On October 15 a criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. In the framework of the criminal case exhumation was conducted on the same day.
Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case. Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to provide comprehensive and objective investigation of the case.
The 38 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murdering the baby.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
