A criminal case initiated on newborn baby’s death in Gyumri
A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on death of a newborn baby.
On March 12, 2016 the resident of Gyumri H. Petrosyan submitted a report informing that on March 11, 2016 at about 06:00 his wife gave birth to a baby boy through “caesarean section” in “Maternity Ward of Gyumri” CJSC after which the baby felt worse and on March 12, 2016 at about 04:00 he was taken to “Austrian Hospital of Mother and Child” of Gyumri. On the same day at about 07:00 the child died.
The person who had submitted a report mentioned that the child died in the result of improper implementation of professional duties by the medical personnel of “Maternity Ward of Gyumri” CJSC.
Considering that in the report there are features of crime envisaged by the Part 2 of the Article 130 of RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
Forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned to find circumstances significant for the case, the history of disease was confiscated.
