A criminal case initiated on voting instead of another person in precinct N 34/39
A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on voting instead of another person in precinct N 34/39.
The report of the Head of “Union of Informed Citizens” NGO was received in Shirak Regional Investigative Department informing that during municipal elections held on October 2, 2016 in Gyumri somebody else had voted instead of the voter of precinct 34/39 Ofik Avetisyan. Investigation was conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department to verify the circumstances mentioned in the report during which the voter confirmed that somebody else had voted instead of her during municipal elections.
Considering that the prepared materials apparently contain crime features envisaged by the Article 153 of RA Criminal Code a criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find all circumstances of the case, to identify the person having committed the apparent crime.
