In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of inflicting heavy bodily damage to 22 year-old young man were found out.

On August 23, 2019 at about 19:45 a call was received from a medical center in Erebuni Police Division informing that a resident of Yerevan, born in 1996, with “cut-pierced wounds on the left elbow and the frontal part of the abdomen” was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 4 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of necessary measures taken within the criminal case it was found out that on August 21, 2019 at about 19:00 during the argument on personal matters that took place in front of the beauty salon operating in Artsakh Street, Yerevan the young man, born in 1986, stabbed 22 year-old resident of Yerevan with a cutting-piercing item during which the latter fired shots from a gas pistol for self-defense.

Inspection of the scene was conducted, a number of persons were questioned. Forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic trace examinations were commissioned.

The man, born in 1986, was involved as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. A motion was submitted to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him and search was declared.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
