Investigation is conducted in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of banditry committed against the resident of Akunq village.

Pursuant to initial data, on February 17, 2022 at about 23:00 the person having committed the alleged crime, with the intend to steal somebody else’s property, illegally entered one of the houses of the mentioned village, punched the resident of the house on the face and at knifepoint demanded money. However, noticing that the woman’s daughter and son-in-law entered the house he fled.

A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code.

Inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic genetic and forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

Measures are taken to identify the person having committed the alleged crime, to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
