Charge Pressed against Person who had Committed Hooliganism in Educational Institution and Used Violence against Minors
In the result of investigative and procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of significant circumstances of hooliganism committed in one of the public educational institutions of Yerevan, violence used against students were found out.
Particularly, a report was received from the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as from citizens informing that on May 11, 2023 at about 12:55 in the public educational institution several persons argued with teachers and students, hit two of the students and caused injuries to them.
A report was received from a medical center informing that one of the minors taken to medical center on the mentioned day received nasal fracture, the other - chin and tongue injury.
On the same day a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and an investigative group was formed.
The minors who had received injuries were found the victim, forensic medical expertise was commissioned on them.
On the same day one person was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion of crime committal.
In the result of procedural and evidentiary actions it was found out that on May 11, 2023 at about 12:50 the latter with 4 persons entered the mentioned educational institution. Showing disrespect towards society, ignoring the requirements of the law and moral norms, on the slightest occasion to offend his son by the students of the same school he started arguing with the students and teachers. During that time he hit two students causing the above-mentioned bodily injuries, scolded. As a result of these actions, the normal activity of the school was permanently disrupted.
On the base of the obtained factual data, public criminal prosecution was initiated against the mentioned person according to the Points 4 and 12 of the Part 2 of the Article 167, the Points 3 and 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 195, the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 170 of RA Criminal Code.
Charge was pressed against him, he accepted the accusation.
A motion was submitted to court by the investigative body to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are taken to find out the circumstances of the case, to identify the others having committed the alleged crime and to give legal assessment to their actions.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
