In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against two people for hindering legal professional activity of the journalist of ‘Lragir.am” informative platform T. Yenokyan on April 20.

It was earlier informed that on April 20, 2018 while covering the protest in the neighborhood of Armenakyan Street of Yerevan  two people – male and female used violence against the journalist of ‘Lragir.am” informative platform T. Yenokyan – they hit her on the head, pulled her hair prohibiting her to film thus hindering the legal professional activity of the journalist.

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department actual data were obtained on the people who had hindered the legal professional activity of the journalist; they are residents of Yerevan – male and female, born in 1999 and 1973.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against them according to the Part 1 of the Article 164 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
