Charged with causing his wife to commit suicide
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of 30 year-old resident of Yerevan are found. Husband is charged with causing his wife to commit suicide.
Pursuant to initial data, on March 3, 2017 the resident of Yerevan – woman, born in 1986, threw herself from the second floor of the house to the basement with the purpose of committing suicide. On March 7 in medical center the woman died of injuries she had sustained in the result of falling without regaining consciousness.
A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Article 110 of RA Criminal Code. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted to find the causes of suicide committed by the wife.
Through investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that the woman lived in the mentioned house together with her husband and during their life together they had had arguments over different domestic affairs. On the day of the incident the spouses had an argument during which the husband used violence against wife, he shouted insulting expressions and a while after it the wife went upstairs and threw herself to the basement.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against husband according to the Part 1 of the Article 110 of RA Criminal Code (causing somebody to commit suicide or make an attempt at a suicide by indirect willfulness or by negligence, by means of threat, cruel treatment or regular humiliation of one’s dignity).
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case, forensic examinations were commissioned.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
