In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee initiated on theft attempt and murder attempt against policemen performing their official duties in Vanadzor charge was pressed against three persons.

It was earlier informed that shots were fired towards the policemen who had left for the site on the night of January 30 on the base of the call on theft by the persons who had committed theft attempt. 

In the result of investigatory and operative-intelligence measures taken in the framework of the criminal case initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the frame of the persons having committed the apparent crime was found.

On the base of the obtained evidence on February 2, 2016 charge was pressed against the residents of Lori region A. Sargsyan and A. Galstyan according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 34-177 of RA Criminal Code (theft attempt by illegally entering the apartment), the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code (murder attempt against two or more persons related to their official service) and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code (illegal procurement, keeping of weapon by a group of persons with prior agreement), R. Rstakyan was charged according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 34-177 and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day the investigator submitted a motion to the court to use detention as a pretrial measure against defendants. The motion was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
