In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee initiated on theft attempt in one of the apartments of Vanadzor and murder attempt against the policemen performing their official duties three residents of Lori were arrested.

According to preliminary investigation data, on January 30, 2016 at about 03:00 three persons with the purpose of clandestine appropriation of somebody’s property illegally entered one of the apartments of Vanadzor.

On the base of the call on the mentioned theft two employees of criminal intelligence division of Taron Police Station and the senior inspector of community police station left for the site. In the apartment they found the persons having committed the apparent crime because of which the latters could not accomplish the crime under unforeseen circumstances, they fired shots towards 2 employees of criminal intelligence division performing their official duties and escaped.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 34-177 of RA Criminal Code (theft attempt by entering apartment illegally), Points 1, 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt against two or more persons related to performance of their official duties) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code (illegal procurement, keeping of weapon).

During preliminary investigation of the criminal case inspection of the site, searches were conducted, a number of examinations were commissioned, a number of witnesses were questioned.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures, on January 30 the residents of Lori R. Rstakyan, born in 1993, A. Sargsyan, born in 1991, and A. Galstyan, born in 1992, were arrested on suspicion of committing the mentioned apparent crimes.

The rifle which was the crime tool was found and confiscated.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
