A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on theft attempt, murder attempt against the policemen performing their official duties.

Through materials prepared on the base of reports submitted on January 30, 2016 by 3 employees of Taron Police Station of Vanadzor it was found that shots were fired towards the policemen who had gone to the site on the base of a call on theft by the persons who had committed theft attempt.

According to initial data, on January 30, 2016 at about 03:00 three persons with the purpose of clandestine appropriation of somebody’s property illegally entered one of the apartments of Vanadzor.

On the base of the call on the mentioned theft two employees of criminal intelligence division of Taron Police Station and the senior inspector of community police station left for the site. In the apartment they found the persons having committed the apparent crime because of which the latters could not accomplish the crime under unforeseen circumstances, they fired shots towards 2 employees of criminal intelligence division performing their official duties and escaped.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 34-177 of RA Criminal Code (theft attempt by entering apartment illegally), Points 1, 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt against two or more persons related to performance of their official duties) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code (illegal procurement, keeping of weapon).

During preliminary investigation of the criminal case inspection of the site has been conducted, urgent investigatory actions are conducted, a number of examinations have been commissioned to find circumstances significant for the case, the relevant subdivisions of the police have been tasked to find the persons having committed the apparent crime.
