A criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 42 year-old man's death in Gyumri.

On April 29, 2018 at 20:00 a call was received informing that A. Karaev, born in 1975, suddenly died in one of the flats of Khrimyan Hayrik Street of Gyumri and there are bruises on his face. Through inspection of the body bodily injuries were found.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned the result of which has not been received yet. Pursuant to the medical certificate about death his death had been caused by acute disorders of the vital functions of the brain caused by close blunt injury of the brain.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Shirak Regional Investigative Department according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. A. Karaev was found the injured party.

Necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures are taken to find the circumstances of sustaining bodily injuries by the victim, all circumstances of death, to identify the person having committed the alleged crime.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
