A criminal case was initiated in Akhuryan Investigative Division of Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of 55 year-old man. In the result of urgent investigatory actions a number of circumstances, motive were found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.
 

On October 24, 2016 at 17:35 a call was received from “Gyumri Medical Center” CJSC informing that the body of 55 year-old resident of Shirak L. Hajyan was taken to hospital.
 

Through external inspection of the man’s body bodily injuries like “fracture of the upper part of the right eye-socket, lacerated wound, swollen fracture of the nose with bleeding traces, cut-pierced wound on the frontal surface of the chest” were found.
 

On the same day – on October 24 a criminal case was initiated in Akhuryan Investigative Division of Shirak Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code in the framework of which the 55 year-old man was found an injured party.
 

In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case it was found that the man was inflicted bodily injuries incompatible with life in his residence and through inspection conducted there bloodlike traces, clothes with bloodlike traces were found.
 

According to initial data, on October 24 in L. Hajyan’s flat a row between him and a 30 year-old man on personal matters erupted during which the latter stabbed the house owner. The suspect was arrested and interrogated. Forensic examinations were commissioned to find circumstances significant for the criminal case.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the case.
