Criminal Case Initiated on Apparent Abuses Committed at “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” CJSC

A criminal case was initiated in the Department of Investigation of Corruption Crimes, Crimes against Property and Cybercrimes of General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee on apparent abuses committed at “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” CJSC.

Materials on abuses found through examination conducted in “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” CJSC on the base of the order N 1459-Ա dated 13.06.2018 of RA Minister of Health were received in the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to the mentioned examinations, according to the agreement signed between the RA Ministry of Health and “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” CJSC the medical center provided free medical service with privileged conditions guaranteed by the state during which a number of abuses were recorded. Particularly, a number of employees of the CJSC, using their authorities against the interests of the organization, forged documents and used them. As a result, they swindled money in particularly large amount transferred to the medical center. According to initial data, the damage caused to the state is about 519.073.350 AMD.

Considering that in the prepared materials there are apparent elements of crime envisaged by the Part 2 of the Article 214, the Part 2 of the Article 325 and the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 178 of RA Criminal Code, on July 30 a criminal case was initiated, an investigatory group was formed.  

Investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume are conducted to find out the all circumstances of apparent abuses, the real volume of the damage caused to the state, the frame of those involved and to provide the comprehensive and objective investigation.
