Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find the circumstances of murder of the resident of the village of Gay of Armavir region.

On February 23, 2018 at 07:00 a call was received from firefighter rescue service of Ejmiatsin informing that a house was on fire in the village of Gay of Armavir region and there might be someone inside the house.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the site. It was found that at 06:40 the neighbors noticed that the house of their fellow villager R. Hayrapetyan, born in 1957, was on fire and made a call. The burnt body of R. Hayrapetyan, born in 1957, was found in the living-room of the house. In the result of post-mortem examination of the body two bullets of hunting rifle were found from under the frontal surface skin of the left part of R. Hayrapetyan's chest, numerous metal fractions were taken out of his internal organs, as well.

A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on R. Hayrapetyan's murder and destruction of his property by arson according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code.

Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation, to identify the person having committed the alleged crime.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
