Investigation is conducted in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of willful infliction of heavy bodily damage and bodily damage of medium gravity to health.

On January 4, 2020 at 20:30 a call was received from “Artashat” medical center informing that the resident of Ararat, born in 1970, with a diagnosis of “pierced, penetrating wound on the frontal part of the abdomen” was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances, including the scene were found out through inspection of which blood-like traces were found, samples were taken, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of the same province, born in 1985.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out the gravity degree of the bodily injury of the injured party, as well as other circumstances and pursuant to its result 49 year-old man was inflicted heavy bodily injury threatening to life.

Charge was pressed against 34 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

In the result of a number of urgent investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case other circumstances of the case were found out, as well.

Particularly, actual data were obtained on the allegation that during the above-mentioned incident a group of people beat 34 year-old man. Numerous injuries were found on different parts of the man’s body and pursuant to the result of forensic medical examination bodily damage of medium gravity was caused to him by some of the injuries.

Considering that through the criminal new circumstances were found out and there was a legal base and reason to initiate a criminal case a new criminal case was initiated according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code and a decision was made to join the mentioned criminal cases in one proceeding and to conduct joint investigation.

During preliminary investigation the frame of those having inflicted bodily injury of medium gravity to 34 year-old man was found out; one of them is the 49 year-old man and the other three are residents of the same province, born in 1977, 1990 and 1994. They were found, brought to the investigative body and arrested on suspicion of causing bodily injury of medium gravity to 34 year-old fellow villager.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
