A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing 37 year-old man. The person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

Pursuant to initial data, on August 3, 2019 at about 18:30 in the rest zone located in Lanjazat village of Ararat province the person having committed the alleged crime argued with the resident of the same province, born in 1982 during which he stabbed 37 year-old man on the abdomen causing heavy bodily damage.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Ararat Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. 37 year-old man was found the injured party and questioned.

Pursuant to data obtained through preliminary investigation during the argument that took place at the party in the rest zone located in Lanjazat village of Ararat province the man, born in 1979, being under the influence of alcohol, hit 37 year-old fellow-villager first with a bottle on the head then stabbed him on the abdomen with a knife that was with him.

A number of investigatory actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted during which the knife which was the crime tool was found and confiscated, blood-like traces were found, samples were taken, witnesses were questioned, forensic medical examination was commissioned.

The relevant subdivision of the Police was tasked to take necessary measures to find the person having committed the alleged crime and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case, to verify the circumstances mentioned in the testimonies.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
