The visit of the delegation headed by Karlo Katsitadze, Head of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia, is ongoing.
On March 6 the Head of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia, accompanied by Argishti Kyaramyan, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, visited Shirak Marz, was hosted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
Through the tour Mr. Katsitadze followed the work process of the mentioned regional subdivision of the RA Investigative Committee, got acquainted with the conditions created for investigators to carry out their service duties, logistic resources and capabilities necessary for conduction of preliminary investigation.
On the example of Shirak Regional Investigation Department, the Head of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia was introduced to the structure of investigative bodies in the law enforcement system of Armenia, the position and role of the Investigative Committee, the institutional frame of functions, relations with other law enforcement bodies.
The reforms made in the law enforcement system, particularly the process of concentration of pre-trial bodies under the roof of the Committee, its goals and objectives were discussed.
During the exchange of ideas, the importance of such cognitive visits was emphasized from the point of view of getting acquainted with each other’s capabilities, defining the most objective directions of cooperation.
Karlo Katsitadze, Head of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia toured in Gyumri with RA partners, got acquainted with the historical and cultural values of the city.
