In the result of urgent investigatory and procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of the incident that took place on August 25 near the restaurant complex operating in Shengavit administrative district were found out. One person was arrested.

On August 25, 2019 at 18:50 a call was received from «Erebuni» medical center in Shengavit Police Division informing that on the same day two residents of Yerevan, born in 1976 and 1960, with firearm injury on the left lateral part of the abdomen /clinical death/ and firearm injury of the left thigh, firearm injury on the lower third part of the right thigh bone, multi-fracture of the right thigh bone, correspondingly, were taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Points 2 and 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code. By the decision of the Head of Division of Shengavit administrative district an investigatory group was formed.

A number of investigatory actions were conducted. Through inspection of the scene 8 capsules fired from pistol of “Makarov” model, 1 fired capsule of 7.62mm caliber, 1 pistol without factory number, 1 capsule fired from pistol, 2 balls fired from pistol of “Makarov” model, 2 folding knives with secret lock were found and confiscated. The videos captured by the cameras near the crime scene, as well as the clothes the injured were wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated. A number of forensic examinations were commissioned.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1975. The latter was arrested.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
