Information on Criminal Cases on Crimes Committed against Children in the First Term of 2018 Investigated in RA IC Proceeding
In the first term of 2018 211 criminal cases on crimes committed against children were investigated in the proceeding of the RA Investigative Committee as compared with 139 cases in the previous year. 8 of the cases were investigated in the proceeding of General Military Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
Thus, out of 211 criminal cases
35 referred to sexual intercourse or sexual acts with a person under 16 envisaged by the Article 141 of RA Criminal Code,
24 - to battery envisaged by the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code,
9 - to willful infliction of heavy damage to health envisaged by the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code,
9 - to rape envisaged by the Article 138 of RA Criminal Code,
9 – to violent sexual actions envisaged by the Article 139 of RA Criminal Code,
8 - to lecherous acts envisaged by the Article 142 of RA Criminal Code,
7 - to kidnapping envisaged by the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code,
6 - to willful evasion from supporting one’s child by the parent envisaged by the Article 173 of RA Criminal Code,
5 – willfully causing strong pain or bodily or mental sufferance to a person envisaged by the Article 119 of RA Criminal Code,
5 - to threat to murder or to inflict heavy damage to one’s life or to destroy property envisaged by the Article 137 of RA Criminal Code,
4 - to willful infliction of light damage to health envisaged by the Article 117 of RA Criminal Code,
2 – to murder of newly born child envisaged by the Article 106 of RA Criminal Code,
2 - to willful infliction of medium-gravity damage to health envisaged by the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code,
2 – to separation of the child from parents without the parents’ consent or changing the child envisaged by the Article 167 of RA Criminal Code,
1 - to murder envisaged by the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code,
1 - to causing death by negligence envisaged by the Article 109 of RA Criminal Code,
1 - to causing somebody to commit suicide envisaged by the Article 110 of RA Criminal Code,
1 – to forcing a person to sexual intercourse and so on.
At the stage of preliminary investigation in the framework of the mentioned criminal cases 129 people were involved as a defendant 3 of which were 14-16 years old, 12 – 16-18 years old, 75 – 18-35 years old, 39 – over 35 years old.
In the framework of criminal cases 196 people were found as affected 101 of which were under 12, 21 – 12-14 years old, 46 – 14-16 years old, 28 – 16-18 years old.
42 criminal cases on 44 persons with the bill of indictment were sent to court.
