Masses similar to Narcotic Drags Found through Search Conducted in “Polygraf” Club; Investigation Conducted
Through investigation conducted in the Second Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of apparent illegal turnover of narcotic drugs for the purpose of sale committed in “Polygraf” club operating in Yerevan are being found out.
Operative information was received in General Department of Criminal Police of the Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs on the allegation that illegal sale of narcotic drugs had been committed in “Polygraf” club operating at 19 A, Koryun Str., Yerevan. In the result of operative-intelligence measures it was found out that in the mentioned club drugs of “Methamphetamine”, “Ecstasy”, “LSD” and other types had been illegally sold.
On April 14 a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Second Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 393 and the Part 1 of the Article 396 of RA Criminal Code and preliminary investigation started.
On the base of the decision of the investigative body, together with the employees of the relevant service of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, on April 23 search was conducted in “Polygraf” club during which between the hall and the office – on the floor one unknown mass wrapped in red plastic tape was found and taken.
4 employees of the same club were arrested and brought to the Central Police Division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on suspicion of illegal keeping and using of narcotic drugs. Through their personal search yellowish-greenish masses in plastic bags, a vial with ashen traces and a metal blade for crushing narcotic drug of marijuana type, a dropper with a yellowish-greenish mass were found and taken.
During preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding 41 persons in total were arrested and brought to the RA Central Police Division. They were questioned as arrested and then were released.
Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding is ongoing. Necessary expertises were commissioned to find out the composition of masses found at the mentioned persons.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
