In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted as well as measures taken jointly with the employees of the RA Police within the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee cases of murder and hooliganism committed in Tashir town were disclosed.

On June 7, 2022 at 00:10 and 02:45 calls were received from Tashir and Stepanavan medical centers informing that 27 year-old resident of Novoseltsovo settlement of Lori region with a firearm injury and 24 year-old resident of Tashir town with cut-pierced injuries were taken to the medical centers.

During preparation of materials the scene was found out, data were obtained on the allegation that a row had erupted between the young men during which they caused the mentioned injuries to each other.

Pursuant to the obtained data, on June 3, 2022 in the yard of one of the houses located on Dprotsakanner Street of Tashir town a group of people, among them the young man who had been taken to hospital with cut-pierced wounds and the latter’s friend used violence against 39 year-old man related to which on June 6 at about 23:30 27 year-old resident of Novoseltsovo village of Lori region arrived in Tashir town with his fellow-villager and met 24 year-old young man. The talk between them turned into a quarrel during which 24 year-old young man, with the intent to deprive the resident of Novoseltsovo village of life, fired a shot towards him and the latter stabbed 24 year-old young man on different parts of his body. After being taken to hospital – on June 7, 2022 at about 05:00 27 year-old young man died of the injuries he had received without regaining consciousness.

Criminal cases were initiated on the above-mentioned accidents according to the Part 1 of the Article 104, the Part 1 of the Article 235, the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. A decision was made to combine the mentioned criminal cases and conduct preliminary investigation in one proceeding.

24 year-old resident of Tashir town was arrested on suspicion of committing murder, hooliganism, illegal procurement and keeping of weapon.

In the result of necessary measures the actions of one more person involved in the hooliganism – 24 year-old young man’s friend were personalized. He was arrested on suspicion of committing hooliganism envisaged by the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation inspection of the scenes, investigative experimentations, searches, confiscations were conducted, numerous people were questioned, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
