On May 24, 2021 at 17:45 a call was received from “University Hospital N 1 after Heratsi” informing that a resident of Nork-Marash district of Yerevan with a firearm injury on the left part of the chest was taken to hospital. The investigative-operative group immediately left for the scene.

Pursuant to initial data, on May 24, 2021 at about 17:00 in Nork-Marash 6 Street, Yerevan, for the purpose of illegal deprivation of life the person having committed the alleged crime fired a shot towards the resident of the same district from a firearm kept by him illegally. However, under unforeseen circumstances he could not complete the crime.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt and illegal procurement, keeping, carrying of weapon. The man who had been taken to hospital was found the injured party.

During preliminary investigation urgent investigative and other procedural actions, among them inspection of the scene were conducted during which blood-like traces were found, samples were taken, a number of people were questioned, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated. Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is conducted.

Measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to identify the person having committed the alleged crime, to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
