Murder in Ejmiatsin; Person Suspected of Committing Alleged Crime Arrested
On March 22, 2020 at about 10:45 a call was received from a citizen in Vagharshapat Police Division informing that he had found his uncle’s body with traces of blood on the head in an apartment located in Charents district of Ejmiatsin town.
Through inspection of the scene a metal chair with blood-like traces and hair on it was found.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of necessary measures it was found out that the person having committed the alleged crime was the victim’s friend. For the purpose of illegal deprivation of life the latter hit the victim on the head in the mentioned apartment and murdered him.
The person suspected of committing the mentioned crime was arrested.
Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
