Person Having Apparently Sold Psychotropic Materials Identified within Criminal Case Investigated on Illegal Turnover of Narcotic Drugs
In the result of urgent investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, as well as operative intelligence measure the person who had allegedly illegally sold psychotropic materials of «Pregabalin» type to the resident of Artashat was identified.
As we have already informed on February 11, 2020 at 17:50 35 year-old resident of Artashat together with his car of “Mitsubishi” make was apprehended from the crossroad of Artsakh and Arin Berd Streets of Yerevan on suspicion of illegal procurement, keeping and sale of narcotic drugs. Through his personal search 100 pills with a note “PHZER PGH 300” on them and a folding knife were found in the polyethylene package in his hand.
Within the criminal case initiated the latter was arrested on suspicion of illegal procurement and sale of psychotropic materials of “Pregabalin” type.
Through comprehensive investigation it was found out that the suspect had procured the mentioned psychotropic materials from 33 year-old resident of Artashat. The latter was arrested on suspicion of illegal procurement and sale of psychotropic materials. Charge was pressed against 35 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 266 (Illegal turnover of narcotic drugs or psychotropic materials with the purpose of sale) of RA Criminal Code. A motion was submitted to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.
Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to find out the source of procurement of the mentioned pills by 33 year-old man, as well as circumstances of sale of psychotropic materials to others.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
