Necessary investigatory actions are conducted in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find all circumstances of stabbing Deputy Commander of State Protection Service Regiment of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Police Hakob Mkrtchyan.

On August 24 at 02:50 a call was received informing that Deputy Commander of State Protection Service Regiment of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Police Hakob Mkrtchyan was taken to medical center with diagnosis of «penetrating wound on the back surface of the left part of the chest».

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which was received in the proceeding of the RA IC Ararat Regional Investigative Department.

In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the site of inflicting H. Mkrtchyan heavy bodily damage, the motive of the argument were found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on August 24 at about 01:00 H. Mkrtchyan visited one of his acquaintances where a row erupted between the latter’s 21 year-old brother and him. During the argument the young man stabbed him on different parts of his body.  

Measures are taken to find the 21 year-old young man.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
