Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of using violence against the employees of the RA Police and willful spoilage of somebody else’s property.

On 29 July, 2021 at about 23:00, while realizing operative information, the employees of the RA Police approached the car of “Mercedes Benz” make driven by 27 year-old resident of Yerevan, parked at the petrol station located in Hrachya Kochar Street, Yerevan.

Introducing themselves to the young man, as prescribed by law, the policemen demanded that he should get out of the car. Not obeying the policemen’s legal demands, the young man willfully hit the policeman’s car of “BMW” make with a car driven by him then he drove the car towards the policemen standing on the road, anyway, they managed to escape.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 and the Part 1 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code. A decision was made to involve the young man as a defendant and search was declared against him. A motion was submitted to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him which was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the objective and comprehensive investigation, to find the young man and bring him to the investigative body.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
