Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on escape of prisoner of “Nubarashen” penitentiary from hospital was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to data obtained during preliminary investigation, the prisoner of “Nubarashen” penitentiary, born in 1974, being an accused within three cases investigated in the Court of First Instance of Yerevan with detention chosen as a pretrial measure against him, on February 11, 2019 was taken from the mentioned penitentiary to “Armenia” medical center for treatment. Being under the control of security officers on February 18, 2019 at about 15:35 he escaped.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the prisoner according to the Part 1 of the Article 355 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
