Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case Initiated on Fellow Citizen’s Murder Completed
Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that on August 19, 2019 in the afternoon at the birthday party of his fellow villager held in the field called “Gharakotuk” located at the administrative area of village Shnogh of Lori province the resident of the same village, being under the influence of alcohol, argued with his relative – his fellow villager about domestic matters. During the argument the latter threatened to kill and caused light damage to his health with a tripod for grass collection. The argument stopped due to interference of those present at the party and they left.
Then, in order to revenge on his relative, on the same day at about 19:00 he went and on the way met the latter and for the purpose of illegal deprivation from life he hit his relative for numerous times on different parts of his body with the scythe he had taken with him beforehand. The latter was taken to hospital where he died on the next day of bodily injuries he had sustained.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Lori province according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a personal measure against him.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
