Preliminary investigation of criminal case initiated on infliction of heavy and medium gravity bodily damage to Miqayelyan brothers completed

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on infliction of heavy and medium gravity damage to Miqayelyan brothers’ health was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. In the result of investigatory actions the motive of the crime was found, the person having committed the apparent crime was identified.

According to preliminary investigation data, on July 11, 2014 at about 02:00 26 year-old Ed. Khlopuzyan argued with his wife on the phone and scolded loudly in the yard of their building. One of the residents of the building H. Miqayelyan warned him not to scold, however the young man went on scolding and called Miqayelyan out. A row erupted between them and Miqayelyan’s brother also joined the row.

According to the obtained evidence during the row Ed. Khlopuzyan hit Miqayelyan brothers with a piercing-cutting object inflicting grave bodily damage to one of them, and medium gravity bodily damage to the other.

On the base of the obtained evidence on August 4, 2014 Ed. Khlopuzyan was involved as a defendant and search was declared against him. In the result of measures taken in the framework of the criminal case the latter was found and on October 1, 2015 charge was pressed against him according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 and the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
