Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on mother’s murder committed by 51 year-old man was completed in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, from 21:00 of September 26 to 09:40 of September 27, 2020 51 year-old resident of Yerevan being alone with his mother in their apartment, for the purpose of illegal deprivation of life, being under the influence of alcohol hit his mother for numerous times on her face and different parts of her body who was in bed due to health problems. Then pressing her mouth and neck with hands the man killed his mother through mechanical suffocation.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 51 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code. He was detained.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
