Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on illegal turnover of narcotic drugs was completed in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 34 year-old resident of Yerevan.

Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case it was found that in 2015 34 year-old resident of Yerevan, who was interested in narcotic drugs, through his friend got acquainted with Artur, Armenian by nationality, living in Odessa city of the Ukrainian Republic. The latter offered to send good narcotic drugs to Yerevan. According to prior agreement, the 34 year-old man would leave a part of the delivered drugs in the place pointed by Artur, some part of it he would keep for his personal use.

Pursuant to the obtained actual data, on June 1, 2017 the man received a package from passenger transportation company operating in Arshakunyats Avenue, Yerevan where in a shoe box 34.83 grams drugs of «a-PVP» type in particularly large amount sent by his acquaintance was hidden.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 34 year-old resident of Yerevan according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 38-266 and the Point 1 of the Part 4 of the Article 38-267.1 of RA Criminal Code. The proceeding on his part was separated and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Preliminary investigation of the separated proceeding is ongoing to find the frame of those involved in illegal turnover of narcotic drugs.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
