RA Investigative Committee and “Center for Criminalistic Examination” of Yerevan Gladzor University Enter into Agreement (photos)

On February 23, 2021 an agreement was signed at the RA Investigative Committee between the “Center for Criminalistic Examination” of Yerevan Gladzor University and the RA Investigative Committee.

The document was signed by the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Hayk Grigoryan and the Director of “Center for Criminalistic Examination” of Yerevan Gladzor University, the founder, Rector of the university Zhora Jhangiryan.

The agreement will lay bases for cooperation between the parties as well as the joint work to be carried out will be fixed.

Attaching importance to the agreement the Chairman of the Investigative Committee mentioned that it will lay a base to establish close cooperation at the same time emphasizing the key role of teaching criminology in the university.

“It is very important to have a high level of criminalistic knowledge to be considered a good investigator” said Hayk Grigoryan.

In his turn, Zhora Jhangiryan expressing gratitude for warm reception and cooperation mentioned “The opening of the Center for Criminalistic Examination in Yerevan Gladzor University had one goal – to contribute to administration of justice in the Republic of Armenia”.

Reference was also made to the organization of forensic examinations commissioned during preliminary investigation.

The issue of deadlines of forensic examinations at the stage of preliminary investigation is still actual and requires a complex solution, so entering into the agreement is one more step among those taken to enhance the efficiency of investigation.

Entering into the agreement aims to enhance the quality of forensic examinations commissioned during preliminary investigation, the efficiency of their implementation process as well as to prevent the unnecessary extension of deadlines of preliminary investigation.

The agreement also envisages experience exchange in professional sphere through cognitive visits, consultations, round tables and conferences, as well as scientific-practical, professional and organizational other directions of mutual interest.
