In the result of urgent investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee the case of receiving fatal firearm injury by 24 year-old resident of Lorut village of Lori region was disclosed.

It was earlier informed that on the day of the accident - on March 20, 2022 a row erupted between the victim and his fellow-villager, born in 2003, and the latter told his father – 42 year-old resident of the same village about it. In order to revenge, on the same day at about 22:00, in the center of the village the latter, with the intent to deprive 24 year-old young man of life, fired a shot towards him.

In the result of operative-intelligence and operative-searching measures taken by the employees of the RA Police 42 year-old man, having committed the alleged crime, was found and presented to the investigative body. The latter was arrested on suspicion of fellow-villager’s murder, was questioned and gave self-incriminating testimony.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to find out all circumstances, to provide the objective and comprehensive investigation of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
