In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee circumstances of firing shots in the direction of the garages of one of the residents of Norq which happened on February 20, 2015 and fixing an explosive device on the handle of the gate some days later, were found, the persons having committed the apparent crime were identified.
 

On February 20, 2015 at about 03:40 the person having committed the apparent crime fired shots in the direction of the gates of the garages located on the ground floor of one of the houses in Norq and damaged the property belonging to Yu. Avagyan, as well as the car “Toyota Land Cruiser” located in the garage causing it significant property damage.
 

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

Some days later - on the morning of March 2, 2015 a grenade and an explosive device was found on the handle of the gate of the house located in Norq, belonging to Yu. Avagyan’s brother. A separate criminal case was initiated on this case.
 

According to the data obtained during preliminary investigation, the mentioned two crimes were committed by the same person; hence a decision was made to combine the proceedings of these two criminal cases.
 

During preliminary investigation the injured party submitted to the investigative body several threatening letters addressed to him by an unknown person. Particularly, the author mentioned that the shots in the direction of the garage had been fired by him and demanded 32.000 USD threatening that “it would be very bad for him and his family, if he did not pay”.
 

Several working hypotheses have been developed and necessary investigative and operative-intelligence measures are taken to test them.
 

In the result of the search conducted by permission of the court, a gun, a notebook computer, a printer “HP” in which a paper of A4 format with some notes, including the address of the injured party, were found in the residence of RA citizen H. Hayrapetyan and confiscated.
 

Two rifles of AK 74 type with factory numbers, one rifle of AKMS with a factory number, 1 RPG-7V, a grenade with a note PG-7M, 1 pistol with a note “ATMAS”, 15 boxes of rifle bullets, 727 bullets of hunting gun of 5.45 mm caliber, 1136 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber, 355 bullets of 5.6 mm caliber, 2 of 9 mm caliber, 17 bullets of different calibers, 16 shells of hunting gun and old license plates of a car were found in stone processing plant belonging to his brother – S. Hayrapetyan
 

1 grenade, license plates of a car and a computer processor were found in his residence and confiscated.
 

Numerous cell phone cards and electronic drives were also found.
 

In the result of the taken measures, on 21.03.2015 Hayrapetyan brothers were arrested on suspicion of committing the above-mentioned crimes.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Forensic ballistic examinations have been appointed.
 

Necessary measures are taken to provide the comprehensive examination of the circumstances of the case.
