In the result of investigatory actions conducted in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee smuggling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic materials in particularly large amount through RA state border, illegal turnover of narcotic drugs were disclosed. Charge was pressed against one person.

Pursuant to initial data, on March 30, 2019 at 17:40 the resident of Kapan, born in 1961, keeping narcotic drugs in particularly large amount – 180 pills of «Pregabalin 150» with total weight of 27 grams, 60 pills of «Pregasol 150», «Pregabalin» with total weight of 9 grams and 10 pills of «Tramadol» with total weight of 2 grams in his socks smuggled them through “Agarak” check point on RA state border.

On March 30, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Police Division of Kapan according to the Point 1 of the Part 4 of the Article 167.1 and the Part 3 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

On the base of the evidence obtained through investigation charge was pressed against 57 year-old man according to the Point 1 of the Part 4 of the Article 267.1 and the Part 3 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code.

The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. It was sufficed.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out the source of procurement of narcotic drugs, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation.
