On October 7 solemn board session of the RA Investigative Committee dedicated to the Day of the Employee of the RA Investigative Committee was held. Board members, heads of structural and territorial subdivisions, employees of the RA Investigative Committee took part in the session.

Congratulating the officials of the Investigative Committee on professional holiday the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan noted that although the Committee is only two years old we must state that during this short period significant works have been implemented for formation and establishment of the committee and today it has its own place and role in judicial sphere as an independent investigative body.

A number of programs raising the efficiency of the work of structural and territorial subdivisions of the committee were developed and introduced using the possibilities of modern information technology due to which the organizational works have significantly been improved. And though many people state today that the Investigative Committee is an established state body, the best assessment, as Aghvan Hovsepyan mentioned, will be when the investigator is independent in the framework of each criminal case as a procedural person.

“You must not be dazzled by the foam glow but you must search and find evidence that are pure, spotless and real. That is, they must be obtained legally as it is due to your work that human destinies are determined by administration of justice”, stated the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee. Remembering the poem of Hovhannes Shiraz “Pearl and Foam” Aghvan Hovsepyan noticed that the investigator is neither the pearl nor the foam; the investigator is the one who must search pearls at the sea bottom. “I compare the pearl with the evidence obtained through criminal cases, you must search and find the real evidence” emphasized the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.

State officials of the country, heads of partner institutions, the U.S. Embassy to Armenia also sent congratulatory messages on professional holiday. A number of officials of the Investigative Committee received high state and departmental awards.
