In the result of investigatory actions conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing committed by a 45 year-old man was disclosed. Charge was pressed against the latter.

Pursuant to data obtained during preliminary investigation, on January 4, 2020 at about 22:00 during an argument 45 year-old man stabbed the residents of Shirak province – brothers, born in 1994 and 2003. 17 year-old young man was caused cut-pierced bodily injuries and his 26 year-old brother – heavy bodily damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Shirak province, born in 1975, according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The court sufficed the motion and at the same time considered usage of mortgage permissible as an optional pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
