In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Akhuryan Investigative Division of Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of inflicting heavy bodily damage to 47 year-old resident of Akhuryan village were found out. On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against the resident of Gyumri.

On February 9, 2019 at 23:50 a call was received in Police Division of Akhuryan informing that a resident of Akhuryan village, born in 1971, with a diagnosis of «cut-pierced wound on the chest, on the abdomen, hemorrhagic shock, cut-pierced wounds on the upper left limb, soft tissue injury of the head and nose» was taken to «Gyumri Medical Center» CJSC.  

On February 10, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in RA IC Akhuryan Division of Shirak Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code conduction of preliminary investigation of which was tasked to the investigatory group.

In the result of necessary measures taken within the criminal case a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Gyumri, born in 1969.

Pursuant to data obtained through preliminary investigation on February 9, 2019 at about 22:00 49 year-old resident of Gyumri and 47 year-old resident of Akhuryan village had dinner together in the latter's house and used alcohol during which a row erupted between them. During the argument 49 year-old man hit the host with hands after which stabbed the latter on different parts of his body.

Within the criminal case the resident of Akhuryan village was found the injured party. Inspection of the scene was conducted, the clothes the injured and the person having committed the alleged crime were wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated, search was conducted, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 49 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
