A criminal case was initiated in Berd Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on using violence against the deputy director of «Artsvaberd Forestry» branch of «Hayantar» SNCO. Three persons were arrested.

Deputy director of «Artsvaberd Forestry» branch of «Hayantar» SNCO submitted a report informing that on April 15, 2019 at about 14:00 the resident of Chambarak town, born in 1973, argued with him during which violence was used against him.

A criminal case was initiated in Berd Investigative Division of Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 2 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of a number of investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case a number of circumstances were found out. Particularly, data were obtained on the allegation that on the day of the incident while touring in the area the deputy director found trucks loaded with timber and a row over it erupted.  

It was also found out that two more residents of Chambarak town, born in 1980 and 1994, were also involved in the incident.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the mentioned persons were found and arrested on suspicion of using violence against the representative of authority and were questioned.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
