A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on assault committed on December 21 in Myasnikyan Street, Yerevan.

On December 21, 2015 at 06:00 a call was received informing that there was an injured person at 20/1 Myasnikyan and at 06:05 a call was received from “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center informing that A. Martirosyan born in 1968, who had been attacked at 20/1 Myasnikyan, was taken to the medical center with cut, pierced wounds on his head, chest and left hand.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 3 of the Part 3 of the Article 175, Points 6, 7, 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Through investigation it was found that on December 21, 2015 at about 04:50 at the area of patrol station operating at 20/1 Myasnikyan with the purpose of capturing somebody’s property through banditry, two masked persons armed with a rifle and a knife demanded money from the employee of the same patrol station A. Martirosyan using violence dangerous for the latter’s life and health. Meeting the latter’s resistance they hit the head and different parts of A. Martirosyan’s body with the knife and rifle and escaped. A. Martirosyan, having sustained bodily injuries, was taken to “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center where he died at about 08:00.

An investigatory plan was worked out, investigatory and procedural actions of great volume were conducted to find all the circumstances of the case, as well as to identify the persons having committed the apparent crime.

In order to find significant circumstances of the criminal case forensic medical, forensic biological, forensic trace and forensic micro-particle complex examinations were commissioned. Inspection of the scene was conducted, the videos of the cameras inserted at the area were confiscated.
