Two Persons Charged with Illegal Turnover of Narcotic Drugs Detained
Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of illegal turnover of narcotic drugs. Two persons were detained.
In the result of taken measures on September 9, 2019 at 18:05 RA Police officers apprehended a resident of Ararat province, born in 1982, in a car of “Opel-Corsa” make from the yard of one of the houses of Shirak Street, Yerevan on suspicion of illegal procurement, keeping and selling narcotic drugs.
Through search conducted as prescribed by law 2 packages with yellowish mass of 0,87gr. and 1,01gr., accordingly, were found at him and through inspection of the car crystal mass of 5,17 gr. in total in a polyethylene bag was found in the middle of the front seats of the car.
A criminal case was initiated in Shengavit Police Division according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 266 and the Part 3 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee for conduction of preliminary investigation and was received in the proceeding.
Forensic chemical examination of confiscated drug was commissioned. Pursuant to expert's conclusion 5.17 grams of crystal like mass is drug of «Methamphetamine» type.
Through preliminary investigation it was found out that the man, born in 1982, with the intend to sell the narcotic drug in particularly large amount - 5.17 grams of drug of «Methamphetamine» type, illegally procured it from a resident of Yerevan, born in 1972, which he transported to the backyard of a multistoried house located in Shirak Street, Yerevan in his acquaintance’s car to sell it.
In the result of urgent investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the man, born in 1972, was found.
During preliminary investigation urgent investigatory actions were conducted – witnesses were questioned, a number of circumstances of procuring and selling drug were found out, forensic medical examination was commissioned.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the men, born in 1972 and 1982, according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 266 of RA Criminal Code.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out possible relation of other people to illegal turnover of narcotic drugs and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment to their actions as well as to find out the source of illegal procurement of narcotic drugs.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
