On December 25, 2020 a police officer submitted a report informing that on the same day at about 19:00 while carrying out service at “Belajio” restaurant located in Myasnikyan Street, Yerevan he demanded that the citizens who had blocked the road traffic should open the road and not hinder the traffic. But one of the mentioned citizens willfully pushed him then the police captain who fell to the ground and sustained closed fracture of both bones of the left leg with displacement.

On December 25 a criminal case was initiated in Central Police Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 (violence against a representative of authorities) of RA Criminal Code. On the same day the citizen having committed the alleged crime was arrested on suspicion of using violence against the representative of authorities. The next day, by the prosecutor’s decision, he was released from custody.

On December 26, 2020 the mentioned criminal case was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.
