A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt committed against husband by wife.

On December 15, 2017 at 15:35 a call was received from “Armenia” medical center informing that the resident of Yerevan G. Guyumjyan, born in 1960, with “lacerated wound on the left cheek” was taken to medical center.

In the result of taken measures it was found that the man had sustained the mentioned bodily injuries at home in the result of stabbing committed by wife.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Through the inspection of the site bloodlike traces were found on the sofa in the bedroom of the flat and a kitchen knife was found on the washing machine in the kitchen and confiscated.50 year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill her husband and was interrogated.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
