Within Criminal Case Initiated on Theft Illegal Turnover of Narcotic Drugs Disclosed
Within the criminal case initiated in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on theft illegal turnover of narcotic drugs was disclosed.
Pursuant to initial data, on May 14, 2019 from 18:45 to 18:55 in the hall of a microbus the person having committed the alleged crime stole a wallet, golden jewels and a bank card from a citizen's bag causing pecuniary damage of significant amount.
A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 1 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions, operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1973.
The latter was apprehended and through his personal search substance like narcotic drugs was found in his pocket. Forensic examination was commissioned to determine the nature of the substance. Pursuant to expert's conclusion the substance is narcotic drugs of «acetic anhydride» and «acetylated opium» types.
A criminal case was initiated in Arabkir Police Division according to the Part 4 of the Article 266 and the Part 1 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district for preliminary investigation. A decision was made to join the mentioned criminal cases in one proceeding.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 46 year-old man according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 1 of the Article 177, the Part 4 of the Article 266 and the Part 1 of the Article 268 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to find out the source of procurement of narcotic drugs as well as other circumstances significant for the criminal case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
